Several years ago I was contacted by a person in Kenya, Africa who invited me to come and speak to some African business executives.
It was a strange request.
I had never been approached by anyone in Africa for a speaking or consulting engagement. He asked me if I had ever been to Africa and if I was interested in visiting his country.
I told him, “No,”I had never visited Africa and that I thought it would be cool as heck to come to Africa.

1. Pay your flight over here
2. Cover your hotel costs
3. Send you on a first rate African safari
4. I’ll even throw in a scuba diving trip at a high end resort in Mombasa.”
I’m like….”Where do I sign up!!!”
So just like he promised, he flew me over to Nairobi, Kenya in Africa.
I did a 2 day marketing seminar. There were some very impressive executives in attendance. One fellow was the head of marketing for Firestone tires in West Africa.
Another gentleman was the CEO of the largest newspaper in Uganda. A third fellow owned and operated one of the largest soap factories in Kenya.
They were all very bright business people and I had a blast with them.
